They need to know that you love them and that no matter what they do youรขยยre going to be there for them and that you support them but by the way, theyรขยยre screwing up in math and theyรขยยve got to fix that. When thereรขยยs no question about all those things that I started with theyรขยยre more open to hear that criticism. But if youรขยยre just beating them up all the time and theyรขยยre not getting that reassurance itรขยยs not productive. Itรขยยs the same thing with entrepreneurs; they need to know that youรขยยre there for them and youรขยยre giving them this feedback because you want them to be successful not because you want to throw them out of their company.
